Shimona Henry
"A MacGuyver of camera, light, and make up, Shimona Henry can do what many dream of. Hailing from the shores of White Rock, BC, she cut her fangs on photographing women in the pin-up style of the 40's and 50's but has since grown to include the dark arts; mainly fetish and horror...and anything in between.
She is a perfect example of Teacher's Pet gone wild after graduation with honours from the Makeup Program at Vancouver Film School, and founding her company Pin-up Perfection Photography, which she has been running since 2007. She specializes in vintage make-up of the 20th century.
She has been published internationally and is currently working on her first coffee table book which is set to be released in late 2012, and will be sure to make perfect bedtime browsing - for both sweet dreams and nightmares alike. She is also working closely with Hora Morior, an up and coming horror film production company as a stills photographer and on-set makeup artist.
Shimona's vision for Pin-up Perfection Photography is to enhance women's self-esteem by providing them with fun, playful and sexy images in a comfortable and supportive environment! She has photographed thousands of women since 2007 and takes pride in guiding and posing her clients through shoots.
Her mother Eve is her biggest influence. The mantra she lives by is "Don't Dream it, Be it." - Rocky Horror Picture Show."
