Pin-up Photography FAQ's

Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: E-mail shimona@shimonahenry.com to book. Please refer to my calendar for available appointments shown in bold, green font.

Q: What are your hours? Where are you located?
A: Sessions are available by appointment only.
In studio sessions are available Monday at 12pm and 4pm, Saturday at 4pm, Sunday at 12pm and 4pm. Sessions are also available on Friday and Saturdays for pin-up parties, out of studio.
The studio is located in Vancouver at 133 E 8th.
Upon special request, bookings can be made at our White Rock location as well.

Q: Will my photos go onto the internet if I have a photoshoot with Pin-up Perfection?
A: I will only use your pictures online or in print if you sign a model release allowing me to use the images for promotional use :)

Q: How old do I have to be to come in for a photo shoot?
A: You must be 18+. All clients must bring ID to their shoot with proof of their age.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept? Do you need a deposit?
A: I currently accept cash, money order, personal cheque or paypal. There is a 50$ deposit due per person when booking to secure your appointment that will be applied towards your shoot that can pe paid via Paypal to shimonahenry@hotmail.com.

Q: How long is a session?
A: 4-6 hours depending on the package. Pin-up parties are usually 5+ hours

Q: How long does it take to get the pictures back?
A: Depending on the time of year, turnaround is between 2-4 weeks.

Q: What should I do to prepare for our shoot?
A: All things girlie! Shave your legs, underarms, bikini line. Moisturize your skin and paint your nails! Get lots of sleep, and eat, but avoid foods that will make you feel 'yucky'. Check your hosiery for runs and rips. On the day of your shoot avoid wearing tight clothing that will leave lines on your skin. If you are having your eyebrows waxed, have it done a few days before your appointment to avoid redness.

Q: My friend and I want to come in together. Do you have a reduced rate for double bookings?
A: Double booking clients will recieve 25$ off each (not applicable with specials).

Q: Can my boyfriend come and watch?
A: Unfortunately they may not stay because it puts a different element in to the shoot that can hinder bringing out the bombshell in you! They are more than welcome to drop you off and check out the space and meet me.

Q: What should I bring to wear?
A: Dresses, garter belts, bras, underwear, corsettes, boustiers, waist cinchers, fishnets, thigh-high stockings, bathing suits, cardigans, pencil skirts, high heeled shoes...anything vintage (1930 - 1960's) or vintage inspired.

Although I have a collection of garments and costumes for clients to wear, I recommend that every client come with their own outfits including undergarments and shoes in case my collection does not meet your size, style or color. Q: Is there anything else that I should bring to my shoot other than clothes, shoes, accessories etc?
A: Feel free to bring any props you would like to use, or ask me if I have something that you would like to shoot with that you have seen on the site.

Q: What props do you have?
A: If you would like a specific item, please let us know so we can make sure we have it ready for you!

Props in the studio - small fans, retro telephones, retro iron, vintage hand mirrior, boas in almost ever color, handcuffs, cat o nine tails, riding crop, stool, white chair, deck of xl cards, ukelele, small seashells, beach bucket, picnic basket, crab, frog, picnic table cloth, anchor, hats (sailor, police, cowgirl, nurse, pirate), red satin sheet, vintage apple basket, 45 player and holder, tonnes of holiday stuff for Valentines day and Christmas, pearls, diamonds, retro books, cigarette holder, fur shall, gloves, directors chair, film reels, popcorn container, moracas with mexican blanket, retro sunglasses, hair flowers galore, mini top hats, faux tiger rug, fur rug ....
